Dying Languages

Certain languages and dialects have been disappearing faster than ever, but this NY Sun article asks whether the only reaction to that is negative. After all, if diverse peoples come together, one would hope that they could find a common language, right? And while it's idealistic to hope that they would keep their original languages alive, it's not always feasible.
