Waiting for Booker... by looking back

The Booker Prize will be announced tomorrow and the Guardian is all worked up about it. They ask why Booker novels should stay in print... or why they shouldn't if they aren't selling (and then give you the chance to win every Booker novel in print).
Finally, the question was asked, what's the best novel written in the past 25 years (citing the NY Times who asked the same question a while ago and came up with Toni Morrison's Beloved)?
The list that the Brits came up with was, naturally, pretty impressive and the ones that I haven't read yet have moved up a few notches on my endless list of things to read.
